कभी तो मेहरबाँ हो कर बुला लें

ख़ूब आज़ादी ए सहाफ़त है

झूटी ख़बरें घड़ने वाले झूटे शेर सुनाने वाले

ये और बात तेरी गली में न आएँ हम

वही हालात हैं फ़क़ीरों के

फिर दिल से आ रही है सदा उस गली में चल

कुछ लोग ख़यालों से चले जाएँ तो सोएँ

इस शहर ए ख़राबी में ग़म ए इश्क़ के मारे

दिल पर जो ज़ख़्म हैं वो दिखाएँ किसी को क्या

अपनों ने वो रंज दिए हैं बेगाने याद आते हैं
